The Residenza d'Arte is situated in the town of Torrita di Siena, a 14th century village in stone a few kilometers from Siena, Pienza, Montepulciano, and Cortona. It rises majestically on a splendid hill surrounded by cypresses and age-old olive trees, which act as picture frames for the stupendous panorama. As soon as you cross the gate of this historic dwelling, you embark on an artistic and poetic experience that is a perfect fusion between the harmony of nature and the harmony of contemporary art, intelligently combined so as to make the Residenza d'Arte a unique place to stay. The reception desk is in a large and pleasant hall where old beams and stone walls vibrate in a moving dance together with numerous paintings, sculptures, and design artworks. The shapes and the colors magically embrace the entire village within the interior atmospheres, the rooms, and the surrounding park.
This makes the Residenza d'Arte an unusual and luxurious place to stay, offering a rich atmosphere of emotions and combining the pleasure of the spirit with the rest of mind and body. The project to create an unique Gallery Hotel in the world as the Residenza d'Arte is born from an idea of the artist Anna Izzo, sculptress, painter and interior designer known all over the world. She has wanted to offer an alternative to the usual hotel without personality, creating in a place so ancient and rich of history a real hotel with the intention to strongly involve the guests through the originality and energy of her creations.
The love of Anna Izzo for Tuscany, allowed this abandoned abode to return to the splendor it once was. In the park, and all common areas of Residenza d'Arte can be admired creations and hundreds of artworks maded by Anna Izzo, such as colorful gazebo-sculpture in the garden, where everyone can enjoy a breathtaking view of the historical center of Torrita di Siena and his countryside, ideal panorama to taste a good wine or read a book in peace... Breakfast is served in the garden enjoying the panoramic view, repaired from our amazing Gazebo-sculpture or inside our saloon. Breakfast is on buffet and is composed by milk, coffee espresso, cappuccino, american coffee, tea, yogurts, croissants, muffins, home maded cakes and crostate, bread, salam and ham, cereals, orange juyce, butter, various jams, biscuits, and fresh fruit.
Each romantic and welcoming room and Suite is unique, enriched by warm shapes, figures, hues, and colors, prepared in every slightest detail with the clear intent of astonishing and enchanting our guests' emotions. Wooden beams, fireplaces, arches, windows and old stone walls have been carefully restored to their original splendor and mingled with significant works of contemporary art and design, thereby creating a special union of the poetry of the ancients with all the modern comforts. Our splendid rooms face a charming panorama and come with bathrooms that include showers and independent hair dryers, air conditioned, mini refrigerators, satellite TV and independent entrances that face a hill immersed in a sea of nature.
The typologies of rooms are three, Suite, Superior room and Junior room.
The Suites are the rooms big and with something more, comparable for dimensions to an apartment. The Superior rooms are really spacious and besides the bed room have also a hall. The Juniors rooms do not have the hall, but they are any way very comfortable.
